OFFF Montréal Titles

If I had to pick one word to describe this year, it would have to be: turbulent. Which is why I was honored when the folks at OFFF not only invited me to speak at the first ever OFFF Montréal, but also asked me to come up with the main titles. I thought a lot about the story I wanted to tell. In the end, a sort of manifesto just poured out. And, yeah, it features a lot of turbulence!

The film is a tribute to everyone working in the creative space who’s feeling the pressures of today’s volatile world. There’s a creeping feeling that, as artists and individuals, we’re no longer valued. I’m thinking about technology like generative AI, but also about political pressures like the shutting down of diversity programs, the targeting of migrants and vulnerable minorities and the shear amount of violence and threat in the world today. When the world is like this, we need artists more than ever, and my aim was make to this point loud and clear.

There’s a lot more info here in this great article from Stash. Big thanks to OFFF for trusting me with this one. This may not feel like your everyday title sequence, but it’s from the heart! https://lnkd.in/eybmy_mh
