Realtime Brainwaves for National Art Pass

Working alongside digital artist Seph Li, I designed and led this breakthrough project for Artfund UK and their National Art Pass program.  We devised a system to collect live brainwave data via an EEG headset as people looked at art in gallery spaces, and then create realtime animation from the brainwave signal.  We ran internal experiments to learn what different brainwave signal patterns represent, crafted a graphic language to convey these in meaningful ways and built a generative application to render this out in realtime 3D.
The project is due to become part of a traveling experience in 2024, visiting galleries and museums across the UK.
